Kylie Minogue is considering going to university.

The 42-year-old singer went straight from high school to the set of Australian soap Neighbours before becoming an international pop star. She is extremely proud of her success, but admits she has started to “yearn” for knowledge.

She admits being “dissatisfied” with her education to date, and is thinking about going to university to study photography or art history.

“There’s a bit of me that wishes, even fantasises, that after finishing school I went to college and embraced a more academic route but I was straight out working,” Kylie told the July issue of Stylist magazine.

“I do sometimes feel that I could go down that route. What’s to say I don’t end up doing a stint at New York University? A lot of people do it and there’s that part of you that feels dissatisfied and is yearning to be fed.

“I would study photography. I would love to study art history.”

Kylie is currently dating model Andres Velencoso, and the pair are extremely happy. Despite her loving relationship, Kylie has joked that she is seeking a “scholar companion” who could teach her about things as they travelled the world together.

“My ultimate, ultimate, ultimate fantasy would be to have a scholar companion,” she told the publication. “Someone always by my side to teach me, like in those movies about the Roman Empire.

“Maybe I should put out an ad, ‘Wanted: Scholar. Someone who knows everything about everything. Must be prepared to travel’.”
